Hackney businesses must plan for the Games now
Transport for London has warned that businesses in Hackney and the other host boroughs must start planning now to minimise disruption to deliveries and staff travel during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. A workshop for businesses who have supplies delivered by road will take place on the morning of 6 February at Hackney Central, Empire 2, Wilton Way, E8. To sign up for this and other free workshops, email keeponrunning@london2012.com.
Hackney Council is also working with TfL to run workshops for local businesses on how to plan for the Games. Two have already been scheduled for Shoreditch and Dalston on 16 February. Drop in sessions aimed at residents living in Hackney Wick and Homerton will take place over the next couple of months.
TfL will start a major advertising campaign on Monday 30 January explaining the transport changes taking place this summer. To find out about the information and support available from TfL, visit www.tfl.gov.uk/2012
