Register your event in 2012
The 2012 Games represent a unique opportunity for London and the UK, with more activity planned in the summer of 2012 than ever before - but this will put huge pressure on fire services, the police, transport and ambulance and other health services.
Hackney Council is now collecting information on behalf of the Greater London Authority about events taking place in the borough between 1 May and 31 October 2012. It is crucial that anyone holding an event which involves 499 people or more during this period informs the council by 31 March 2011 so that emergency services can be planned. This also applies to events which need a new licence or a variation of an existing licence or a Traffic Order.
