Council review of polling disricts and polling places 2011
Every four years, the Council is required to carry out a review of voting arrangements in the borough.
What did the review cover?
The review covered polling districts and their boundaries as well as the location of, and premises used as, polling stations.
End of review report
The review of polling district and polling places is now complete. This report and all amendments took effect on the 1 December 2011.
What happens next?
Early 2012, electors will receive written notification of any changes to polling district boundaries and/or polling stations.
Can an appeal against changes be made?
Yes, any number of voters numbering 30 or more can make representations to the Electoral Commission if they are unsatisfied with the outcome of the review.
