Advocacy

Hackney funds advocacy services for people who are unclear of their rights and who may need someone to speak on their behalf.

What is advocacy?

Advocacy is speaking up for yourself or acting or speaking up for someone else. Advocates can help people who use our services by helping people to -

  • say want they want and makes sure they are listened to
  • make choices and take more control of their lives

  • make sure they get the services they need
  • make a complaint if something goes wrong
