Frequently Asked Questions

What are apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are another route into employment. It is a way for young people to study for a qualification while working.  We provide the job and arrange with a college or training organisation for you to do your studies.

How do they work?

Apprenticeships involve working 4 days a week and attending college for one day to study for your NVQ.

If you successfully gain your NVQ qualification, pass the apprenticeship probation period and get a good report from your line manager about your performance and conduct, you will be placed in a permanent job.
