Aske Gardens

A short walk from Old Street and just South of Shoreditch Park, these delightful gardens are framed by tall trees and boast a popular tennis court and multi-use games area.

The gardens were refurbished in 2012 and  in 2014 were awarded a Green Flag awards. The awards are given to the best green spaces in the country and are awarded each year to make sure the quality of the green space remains high.

Improving Aske Gardens

We've finished the work to reinvigorate Aske Gardens and the park is now open to the public. Improvements include:

  • new bins and benches
  • a new notice board for community events
  • cleaning and upgrading the tennis court and multi use games area
  • a new fence behind the multi use games area
  • new pathways
  • re-opened gates onto Pitfield Street
  • improved planting
  • new signs

Barbecues

Barbecues are not allowed in Aske Gardens. If you'd like to hold a barbecue, there is a dedicated area in London Fields.
