Cardinal Pole Catholic School
This school is currently split across two campuses on Kenworthy Road and Victoria Park Road. As part of the design, the school will be unified on a single modern campus on a site at Morning Lane, in the south-east of Hackney. Design of the new Cardinal Pole has involved detailed consultation with pupils, staff and parents taking part in 'transformation days' to identify what they want from their school of the future.
The planning application for the new Cardinal Pole Catholic School was approved in Summer 2010, with financial close achieved in November 2010.
Construction on the new school started in late 2010 and is due for completion in Summer 2012.
New facilities will include:
- a modern campus on a single site
- easy-to-use, accessible ICT facilities
- modern sports facilities including a sports hall
- modern classrooms, circulation and social spaces
