Artist's impression of how Haggerston School may look.

Haggerston School

This school is an early 1960s grade II listed building designed by Erno Goldfinger, a key member of the architectural 'Modern Movement'. The heritage status and the original features of this building will be maintained.

Construction began in late November 2010 and is expected to be completed by early January 2012. The scope of the project includes:

  • a new building to allow the school to raise pupil numbers and allow co-educational and sixth form facilities
  • better designed teaching and learning spaces for students which enhance project-based learning
  • up to date ICT facilities and a new library
  • improved dining and catering facilities.

Below are artist's impressions of the new school and photographs of the work in progress.
