Stoke Newington School
The extensive re-construction works as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme are now complete. The works include a completely refurbished frontage to the school, nine new classrooms, a professional standard high-tech 600-seat drama theatre, a contemporary 6,500 sq ft games hall, new sixth form facilities and a new and refurbished music department.
This year the Science, Maths and Sports facilities were refurbished, a bright new supervised toilet block created, a new school canteen built and the grounds landscaped, all completed in time for the new academic year in September.

At the heart of all of the works have been a commitment to sustainability and inclusiveness, and the improvements provide excellent disabled access, more efficient heating and ventilation systems and improved general access, safety and security.

The extensive renovation included a new central wide 'street' to ease congestion between lessons and technological enhancements to improve the level of community use outside of school hours.
Some of the school's new facilities include -
- a professional standard high-tech drama theatre with an audience capacity of 600
- contemporary 6,500 sq ft games hall
- new sixth form facilities and a new and refurbished music department
