Oral History Performance
Mapping the Change
Celebrating the creativity and commitment of local residents, young and old, as they prepare to welcome the world to Hackney, we are working in partnership with East London based Magic Me, one of UK's leading providers of intergenerational activities to develop an intergenerational performance based on oral histories collected during 2010/11. Watch this space for performance dates and venues.
Radio Journalism
Mapping the Change
Working in partnership with Shoreditch based Ignite TV and the award winning Hackney Podcast, Hackney young people are being trained in audio production skills and will be producing a series of podcasts, providing a snapshot of life in Hackney leading up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
London World City
Hackney Museum teamed up Hackney Young Women's Group and pupils from Hackney Free and Parochial Secondary School to showcase young people's responses to the Museum's collection and the theme of "journeys". The project formed an important strand of the national Stories of the World project, and resulted in a programme of youth curated events and performances that took place at the museum during 2010 and 2011.
