The Newsroom Part 1: Words of Colour
Saturday 13 March, 1 - 4pm
12-15 year olds: 10 - 12noon; ages 16-19 years
Led by young journalists from The Cut newspaper (www.thecutnewspaper.com), the only London-wide colour newspaper for and by young people, facilitated by Words of Colour. This session will be based on a real live editorial news meeting. Come and discuss with young journalists from The Cut about writing for a newspaper, how to develop a theme, how to edit, and how to write stories and illustrate them for publication in the newspaper or online. The Newsroom Part 2: Words of Colour
Wednesday 24 March, 4 - 6pm, ages 15-20 years
Encouraging young people to think about their ideas, environment/localities, fashion and other influences, how they shape their identity and how they can share these experiences in a format that others will want to read. The Cut team will offer young people the opportunity to develop their ideas further after the session if they want to be published in the newspaper or online.
