Sports Grants
Leisure and Physical Team manage the Youth Sports Fund to provide financial assistance to athletes, clubs and coaches with in Hackney achieve their potential.
Awards are granted to talented young athletes to develop and progress with in their chosen sport. The Youth Sport Fund also provides funding for Community Clubs who provide opportunities to young people. A newly introduced Coach Education fund is available for coaches who hold at least a level 1 national governing body qualification and want to gain a higher level of qualification, which will be used to deliver to young people of Hackney.
The fund will run up to 2012. Advice can be obtained on alternate funding streams.
