CCTV and Emergency Planning
The CCTV and Emergency Planning Team is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Hackney’s CCTV systems, as well as the management and delivery of its emergency planning services. It is an important component of the Borough's fight against crime.
The Service works continuously, with CCTV 24 Hours a day all year round and the Emergency Planning always on standby.
We co-ordinate the Borough’s emergency planning capabilities, initiating and maintaining the official Emergency Plan, providing appropriate training and exercising for all Borough staff and external organisations. We also provide effective knowledge and liaison on emergency planning for internal departments and external organisations.
We aim to respond effectively and appropriately to any public emergency, co-ordinating the borough’s response, in partnership with emergency services and other statutory and voluntary organisations. In doing so we aim to provide the community with an appropriate and supportive response to the emergency and recovery to normality.
