
Driving Better Customer Services
Our new customer services centre is key to the Council’s ongoing drive to provide better customer services. We want to put our customers at the centre of everything we do.
We’ve listened to and are designing our buildings around our customers’ needs.
The atrium is the heart of the new building. It will be our first purpose built customer services centre. Gone will be the days of managing with cramped, inadequate receptions where we struggle to provide private interview rooms or acceptable levels of accessibility. We’ll be able to give you welcoming, comfortable surroundings with modern, accessible facilities that our customers expect and deserve.
Our current receptions are also scattered across the borough. The customer services centre will be in one central location with good public transport links. There will be no more traipsing from office to office to do your council business. Customer services officers will have information and systems at their fingertips to deal with all enquiries there and then in just one visit.
And by joining with our public service partners and community groups we’ll be opening up access to even more services.
