Disabled Children's Service
The Disabled Children's Team is a specialist social work service for children with moderate to severe disabilities. The team carries out comprehensive assessments of the needs of the child and their family.
They provide domiciliary care, respite care (either within or outside the home) as well as referral to other services for family support (eg play schemes, other leisure activities and voluntary agencies). The service also runs a Sharing Care Scheme which provides specialist childminders.
