Events and resources for schools

Our sessions with Primary Schools use objects, photographs and other original resources from the collection to investigate issues that relate directly to the Museum displays.

At Hackney Museum we offer a wide range of free workshops to all schools in the borough. The sessions have been developed in collaboration with local teachers to ensure they meet the National Curriculum and QCA requirements. All the sessions relate to the Museum displays and we are constantly developing new sessions in response to teachers' requests.

Teachers Resource Pack

The Museum’s Teachers Resource Pack is available from the Museum shop for £6. It includes guides to the displays; worksheets for use within the Museum and back at school and photographs with questions for use in the classroom.
