Time-banded streets
Hackney Council has introduced a "time-banding" system for commercial waste, where businesses and residents in these streets are only allowed to place waste outside business or residential premises at certain periods. This helps to clean up high streets and town centres across the borough.
Streets covered by the time-banding arrangements are mainly "Zone 1" roads, which include all high streets and town centres across Hackney. Waste from the time banded street is collected twice a day, 7 days a week, and you can view the time bands and streets affected below.
