NHS Direct - Conditions and Treatments is a database of information and the public on a variety of condtions. The database contains contact details for major national sefl-help groups and details of evaluated patient information leaflets and booklets on treatment choices.
Homelesspages - A comprehensive guide to information about single homelessness in London. More than a bibliography, it provides an introduction to homelessness, plus a database of resources, including research reports, directories, training course and websites.
List of hostels run by St Mungo's - The hostels for homeless people vary in size up to 120 beds and offer decent food and beds, usually in single rooms. St Mungo's also run temporary hostels with more basic facilities. Residents typically stay for a few weeks or months.
Floodlight - the official guide to courses in London, including all the part-time and full-time courses run by public-sector colleges, universities and adult education centres.

Community Legal Advice - (new name for 'Community Legal Service Direct') - includes an extensive, searchable list of advice-giving agencies including solicitors. Sections in different languages.
Citizens Advice - The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free information and advice from nearly 3,400 locations, and by influencing policymakers.
Department for Work and Pensions - Gives in-depth information on all benefits available to people in the UK.
RightsNet - Provides support and information about welfare rights to advice workers.
