Springfield Park

Springfield Park officially opened as a public park in 1905 and comprises the grounds of three private houses of which Springfield House (White Lodge) remains. Springfield Park is about 40 acres (16 hectares) of both formalised garden and conservation areas within a heavily urbanised inner city borough, and gives extensive views across Walthamstow Marshes.

The park was awarded a Green Flag award in 2009. The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. Hackney currently has nine Green Flags - one of the highest totals in London.
