CREATE08 brings together a collection of exciting, inspiring and very different things to do, see and take part across the host boroughs for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer.

The host boroughs for 2012 are where the cultural heart of London beats loudest and are home to an impressive range of major festivals - from free outdoor spectaculars to large-scale music events, carnivals and community street parties. You will also find a unique collection of world-class art galleries, theatres and museums; all of which are busy and full of nice surprises during the summer months.

CREATE08 is an essential part of your summer calendar. Have a look through the programme guide on the right  and see what you fancy – and don’t be scared to try something new.

CREATE08 marks the lead up to London’s journey as an Olympic and Paralympic host city.

Look out for events to mark the Olympic Handover on Sunday 24 August, and the launch of the Cultural Olympiad on the weekend of 26-28 September.
