Holding an outdoor event in Hackney?
If you are planning to hold an event in one of Hackney's many parks and open spaces, please follow the Council's event management process. For more information on holding an event see Park Events.
You are required by law to have a licence for example if you are planning to put on specific events or trade arts and crafts on markets or on Hackney's streets. For information on how to apply to trade in Hackney see Street Trading License.
The Hackney Directory
The Hackney Directory holds information on over 2,400 mainly local organisations and services which range from small, unfunded, local voluntary groups to large statutory bodies such as social care services and health services.
Training and business support
Hackney is host to a range of business support organisations that can provide advice to Hackney businesses including the cultural and creative industries on issues such as how to start a business, create effective marketing and business plans and how to raise finance.
