De Beauvoir Square
De Beauvoir Square is a classically laid out garden square and is protected under the London Squares Preservation Act of 1931. The square consists of beautiful rose beds and lawn areas as well as a children's play area and is host to a number of small neighbourhood events.
The park was awarded a Green Flag award in 2011. The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. Hackney currently has thirteen Green Flags - one of the highest totals in London.

The De Beauvoir Gardeners club
The De Beauvoir Gardeners is a club for anyone Hackney-wide who has a window-box, a small patch of ground, an allotment or a garden; for people who love getting their hands in the soil or those who prefer to simply read about gardens and gardening from the comfort of an armchair. All you need to join us is a love of plants and planting. Visit http://www.debeauvoirgardeners.org.uk/ for more information.
Get Walking, Keep Walking
A lovely walk of under an hour through Dalston Squares. It is a walk of contrasts: new and old, bustle and calm. Leaving the bustle behind, we use quiet roads and estate paths, to visit, squares and gardens, from three different centuries. This walk passes through Evergreen Square, Albion Square and De Beauvoir Square. For more information see the Get Walking, Keep Walking website.
