The Domestic Violence and Hate Crime Team
Hackney’s DVHC Team provide a range of direct services for people who live work, or study in Hackney who are experiencing domestic violence or harassment.
The service, which is free of charge, is offered within a completely confidential and non-judgmental setting. It is staffed by a multi-cultural team of specialist caseworkers and counsellors, who cater for Hackney's diverse communities by providing a range of different languages (currently Bengali, Turkish and Igbo).
We have access to other translation services through Language Line and interpreters. Our counselling service is only in English but we can refer you to other agencies. Individuals who wish to flee to Hackney can also access our service.
