Hackney’s Domestic Violence and Hate Crime Team provide a range of services for people who live, work or study in Hackney and are experiencing domestic violence and hate crimes. The service is completely confidential and offered free of charge.
Domestic Violence and Abuse is a crime.
Don’t suffer in silence – you are not alone and there are people willing and able to help.
Domestic violence is not a one-off event limited to physical abuse. It is a pattern of abusive behaviour which can include:
- Emotional/mental abuse
- Financial abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Using children
- Threats and Intimidation
- Misuse of power
- Isolation
If you are suffering, or suspect someone you know may be suffering from domestic violence or abuse, there are a a number of organisations that can help – including those listed on the right.
