Licence - Sex Establishment
The Council is responsible for licensing 'sex establishments' such as -
- sex entertainment venues
- sex cinemas
- sex shops
As set out in the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, as amended by the Policing and Crime Act 2009.
The Council's Sex Establishment Licensing Policy 2011(PDF, 1.89MB), which became effective on 26 January, sets out the principles to be applied when determining applications of this nature.
