Open and Derelict Properties
The Environmental Health Team deal with empty commercial properties or vacant land to ensure they are kept secure and that they are free from rubbish and rodents by their owners.
Where there is an issue of significant public health significance they will consider taking formal steps to ensure the problem is cleared up and does not repeat.
The Council will consider the compulsory purchase of long-term derelict and vacant properties.
