Petroleum Licensing
The petroleum licensing authority is responsible for ensuring safety at sites where petrol is delivered, stored and dispensed. A licence will allow you to keep an approved quantity of petroleum. It is an offence to:
- keep an amount in excess of the quantity approved by the licence
- fail to comply with any of the licence conditions, or
- store licensable quantities without a licence.
The local Petroleum Licensing Authority is the London Fire Brigade. See www.london-fire.gov.uk/Petroleum.asp for more information.
