Cooling Tower Notification

All premises where cooling towers and evaporative condensers are situated must register with the local authority under The Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992. The prime purpose of this is to identify potential areas that could give rise to spread of infectious disease e.g. legionella and to ensure preventative measures are taken to eliminate the risk of such infection arising to employees and the public.

The form can be opened and printed off for completion by hand. Because of statutory and legal requirements all application forms must be printed off and signed by the applicant and the Council regrets that forms cannot be submitted electronically. When printing off completed forms, you should make additional copies for your own records.

Once you have completed the form it must be printed off, signed, dated and sent back to us by post to:
