Increasing opportunities for all is the key aim of the Council's equality and diversity work. The Council's Equality and Diversity policy underpins the our commitment to the agenda of equality and diversity. The Audit commission has judged Hackney Council to be a three star strongly improving council. This echoes what our residents are telling us. The percentage of residents, who think that the way the Council runs things is getting better is significantly higher that any other London borough.
