Business Permits

Businesses located within the CPZ area may apply for a business permit. Applications will be considered where it is essential to have parking provision for the efficient operation of business.

Businesses that make multiple applications will be required to justify their request for more than one permit. Provided the vehicles are specified the Council will allow the permit to be issued in the Company name so that it can be transferred between Company vehicles.

A business is entitled to purchase a maximum of 3 permits.

Summary	Entitlement to Business permit
A business is entitled to purchase permits if:	It is operating from premises within the CPZ Vehicles are essential for the efficient operation of the business
The vehicle(s) must be owned, hired or leased by either the business or an employee and must be either:	A passenger vehicle, constructed or adapted for the carriage of not more than 12 passengers (excluding the driver) or A goods carrying vehicle, the overall height of which does not exceed 2.27 metres and the overall length of which does not exceed 5.25 metres.

Permits may be issued for 3 to 12 months and should be renewed before the date of expiry. It is your responsibility to renew your permit on expiry.

Documents you need to provide

One of the following must be attached to the application form:

A) An official headed sheet of stationery showing the business name and address that is within the zone and a letter from your employer requesting a permit.
B) For each application you must produce either a copy of the Non Domestic Rates or Corporate Tax Return.

Documents submitted, as proof of vehicle ownership must show the name of the Company or employee.
