Council car parks
There are public off-street car parks in Hackney Central, Dalston and Stoke Newington town centres. The car parks operate from Monday to Saturday 7am to 11pm and are free on Sundays and bank holidays.
A valid pay and display ticket must be purchased and clearly displayed upon arrival. You must not stay beyond the maximum permitted time for each car park, as specified on the pay and display machines and on the tariff boards.
All of the pay and display machines accept coins while the machines in Amhurst Road, Bentley Road and Wilmer Place car parks also accept credit and debit cards. Please note it is an offence to transfer tickets between vehicles or car parks.

Safer car parks
Bentley Road, Wilmer Place, Gillett Street and St John Church Yard car parks have all been awarded the Safer Parking PARK MARK award. The PARK MARK scheme, which is run by the British Parking Association (BPA) and the Association of Chief Police Officers, recognises improvements made by car park operators to improve the safety and accessibility of car parks for visitors.
The Council has made improvements to Bentley Road, Wilmer Place and St John car parks, through the installation of new CCTV cameras, help-point emergency systems (with 24 hour monitoring) and improved lighting and road surfacing.
