Wheel clamps and removal
What should I do if my car is clamped?
If your vehicle has been clamped, you will need to follow the release instructions left on the vehicle. The clamp release charge and parking ticket must be paid before the vehicle is released. You are only entitled to appeal after you have paid the relevant parking ticket and release charge.
If your vehicle has been clamped, the charge to de-clamp the vehicle is £70 (in addition to any PCNs issued in relation to the clamp.)
What should I do if my car has been removed?
If your car is not parked where it was left, it may have been removed. You can telephone the TRACE service on 020 7747 4747, who will advise you where the vehicle has been taken and how much the release fee is. The vehicle release fee and parking ticket must be paid before the vehicle will be released. Depending on the length of the time the vehicle has been stored there may be additional charges. You are only entitled to appeal after you have paid the relevant parking ticket and release charges.
If you have had your vehicle removed to the Car Pound, the charge to release the vehicle is £200 and a £40 storage fee is added daily (in addition to any PCNs or clamps issued in relation to the Removal of your vehicle).
