Review of Controlled Parking Zones
The London Borough of Hackney reviews its Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) as part of an ongoing commitment from the Council to review and monitor new CPZs after the first year of operation, and every three years thereafter. The purpose of the review is to ensure that parking controls reflect current and future parking need in an area.
These consultations provide an opportunity for local residents and businesses to have their say on their CPZ and give feedback on CPZ design, customer services and parking enforcement. All comments received during the consultation period will be considered and help to produce any revisions to the CPZ design.
If you live or work within one of the Zones currently being reviewed and have not received a consultation pack, please contact Hackney Parking Services by calling 020 8356 8877 or email consultparking@hackney.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can download a copy of the questionnaire and leaflet from this website (follow specific zone links on the left).
Glyn Road and Rushmore Road Displacement Consultation
We are currently consulting several roads on the boundary of Controlled Parking Zone N (Homerton and Lower Clapton) about the proposed introduction of parking controls. Streets included in the consultation include Glyn Road, Rushmore Road and sections of Elderfield and Chatsworth Road.
If the majority of residents in these streets support the proposed introduction of parking controls, these streets will join neighbouring Zone N.
All residents and businesses in the consultation area will soon receive a consultation letter, questionnaire and map showing the proposed design of parking controls. If you do not receive a consultation letter please call Parking Services on 020 8356 8877. Alternatively you can download a copy of these documents from the link on the left hand side of this page.
Please remember to have your say by 15 August 2008.
Review of Controlled Parking Zone J (Queensbridge)
The consultation on the review of Controlled Parking Zone J (Queensbridge) closed on the 28 April 2008. Thanks to all those who returned their questionnaire and had their say.
We will now analyse your feedback and present the results with final design recommendations in a formal report.
Once the report has been approved by the Council we will send all residents and businesses in the zones a summary booklet explaining the results of the consultation, final design changes and dates for when changes will be implemented.
For further information about the reviews please call the Hackney Call Centre on 020 8356 8877.
Implementation of Match Day Scheme
The implementation of the Match Day Parking Scheme is now scheduled to take place in August 2008.
Unfortunately due to matters beyond the Council’s control there has been a delay in the implementation of the scheme. Every effort has been put in place to resolve this issue and we are now in the position to proceed with the implementation of the scheme.
If you live or work in Controlled Parking Zones G, G2 and Zone M (roads west of Milton Grove) you will soon receive an updated summary booklet which explains the changes to be made and revised dates of implementation. If you have not received a booklet please call 020 8356 8877 to be sent a copy or alternatively you can download a copy from the link on the right hand side of this page.
