Controlled Parking Zone D (north, central and south) Consultation Results
The results of the consultation on the review of Controlled Parking Zone D (north, central and south) and the wider ‘displacement conusltation’ have now been analysed and are available. Please see the attached ‘delegated report’ for full details of the consultation results.
Local residents and businesses in the Zone D (north) ‘sub-zone’ should by now have received a summary booklet explaining the consultation results and design changes that will soon be made. If you live in D (north) and have not received a pack, please call Parking Services on 0208 356 8877, or alterntiavely you can download a copies of the packs from this webpage.
Summary documents for the Zone D (central) and (south) areas will be delivered to local residents from the 9 November 2009. Copies of the summary documents will also be posted on this webpage when available.
Zone D Displacement Consultation Results
The results of the Zone D displacement consultation are also available for viewing.
Residents in the displacement area will soon receive a consultation summary pack explaining the consultation results and changes that will soon be made in your area.
As a result of public support from the consultation and informtaion from recent parking stress surveys, the Council has approved the introduction of parking controls in the following roads:
- Belsham Street
- Chatham Place
- Mead Place
- Western side of Retreat Place
Residents in the affected roads will be consulted in March 2010 about the design of the parking controls before the new restrictions are installed.
Important Dates
Zone D (north)
We plan to begin lining and post and signs works from the Monday 2 November 2009 in this area.
Zone D (central) and (south)
Lining and post and sign works are planned to begin from Monday 16 November 2009.
Zone D newly incorporated streets
All local people in the newly incorporated streets will be consulted in early 2010 on the design of the new parking controls before they area introduced.
