Conservation

Conservation is a very important aspect of planning policy in Hackney. In line with the Council's aspirations for a high quality environment for a sustainable community, we strive to preserve the historic built fabric of Hackney and encourage good contemporary design.

In this section of the site you will find further details of conservation related issues including conservation areas, listed buildings, locally listed buildings, sites and ancient monuments and more. Please see the pages on the left for more information.

If you would like to find out whether you are in a Conservation Area or if your building is listed, please search our GIS system Find My Nearest.

Should you have further queries, please contact us using the details on the right.
