Hackney Design Awards

The Council is committed to ensuring development in the borough is of the highest quality. The bi-annual Hackney Design Awards is a Council run initiative which profiles and celebrates good design in Hackney.

The awards scheme recognises and raises awareness of high quality contemporary design in the local built environment, helping create an understanding of how good quality design can make a real difference to areas where people live, work and relax.

Placing local design schemes under the spotlight, provides an excellent opportunity to engage local and professional communities which leads to ongoing dialogue on the improvement of Hackney’s built environment.
