Local Development Scheme (LDS)

The LDS is a project plan for Hackney Local Development Framework, which sets out:

All the development plan documents (DPDs) and supplementary planning documents (SPDs) to be prepared and the content and geographic area to which they will relate;
How the different DPDs and SPDs relate to each other, and especially how they relate to the Core Strategy
Which supplementary planning guidance or SPDs support saved policies;
The timetable for producing DPDs and SPDs

The LDS was reviewed and updated then approved by Hackney Council on 24 November 2010 following consideration by the Mayor of London. The new LDS takes effect from 1 January 2011. To download a copy of the document and the updated LDS Summary Timetable, please select the appropriate links below.

Recent circumstances mean that submission of the North London Waste Plan Development Plan Document to the Secretary of State was slightly delayed and adoption is now expected in July rather than April 2012. The Council has included this amendment in a wider review of the LDS and the final draft is currently in the process of being signed-off. The revised LDS will be available through the Council website this Autumn.
