Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) and Other Planning Guidance
SPD will be produced to support existing policy found in Development Plan Documents. SPD that are adopted or currently under development are listed below:
- South Shoreditch SPD
- Affordable Housing SPD
- Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD
- Planning Contributions SPD
- Public Realm SPD
Other Planning Guidance
The Council has also prepared additional planning guidance to provide detailed design principles for specific sites. This approach provides a transparent way of ensuring good design outcomes, without the need to undertake the rigorous processes involved in preparing an SPD. While this planning guidance does not form part of the statutory Local Development Framework, it forms a material consideration in the assessment of planning applications.
