Pre-Application Advice
Hackney Planning has recently released 4 information packs on the Pre-application process and the application process. The packs are filled with useful information that should help speed up the appilcation process for both the applicant and Hackney Planning Services.

Major Applications
- a residential development comprising 10 or more dwellings, or on a site that is 0.5 hectares or more; or
- any other use where the proposed floorspace is 1,000 square metres or more, or the site is 1 hectare or more
Minor Applications
- a residential development of up to 9 dwellings on a site less than 0.5 hectares; or
- any other use with a proposed floorspace of less than 1,000 square metres and on a site less than 1 hectare
Householder Applications
- one new residential unit; or
- the enlargement, improvement or other alteration of an existing dwelling
