Knowing our communities
Knowing our communities brings together information from a number of sources such as your feedback to us, needs assessments, research and the Census. Collectively the information provides an evidence base to enable us to understand the communities we serve. We have a responsibility to know and understand the needs and expectations of our residents and the communities in which they live. We use this information when making decisions about the services we provide. The decisions include making services easy for you to access and improving outcomes for all our residents. The information and evidence about our communities has informed the development of our Equality Objectives and outcomes we aim to achieve.
We are refining the way we collect information about our communities, the way we analyse the information and how we make best use of the evidence base available
When you use one of our services or when we ask you for feedback we may ask you some questions about yourself. These questions are based on the characteristics protected in the Equality Act 2012. It is your choice whether you answer these questions. Your replies will not be used in a way that identifies you however they will help us to understand how community needs may vary; and helps us make informed decisions on how we develop services and target resources.
