Mortuary Service
Hackney Mortuary handles deaths that have been referred to the Coroner, or deaths where no death certificate can be issued (for example, where there are no relatives to register the death).
The Mortuary
- receives and stores bodies
- assists Forensic Pathologists with autopsies
- provides facilities for the viewing of bodies
- provides information and advice.
