What If My Circumstances Change?

In addition to telling us when you move premises, you also need to notify us if your change of circumstances. The type of changes that you need to notify us of are:
- Where you are currently receiving a relief or reduction and this should no longer apply
- Someone else become jointly liable for the rates with you, for example you take on a partner
- You make physical changes to the premises, for example partition off some areas
If your circumstances change and you think that this may affect the amount you have to pay, you can download a Change in Circumstances Form. Complete the relevant part of the form and send it to the Business Rates office.
Alternatively, you can telephone the Business Rates office and report your change in circumstances – please can you make sure you have all the information with you when telephoning.
