Vouchers are open to film and photographic production companies working in the borough.
Approval from the film office
Prior to placing an application for film vouchers, you must contact us to discuss your requirements first (using the contact details below). If your requirements are agreed you will be directed back to this page to place an online application.

Before you start
You’ll need:
- to place an application to film in Hackney
- public liability insurance and shoot details of all productions
- an email address
- a debit or credit card – all film vouchers need to be paid for at the point of application

- all film voucher applications are subject to approval
- if your application is successful, you’ll need to arrange a collection time with us
- if your application is unsuccessful, we’ll contact you with recommended amendments
Frequently asked questions
Film vouchers are £36 each. One voucher covers a single vehicle, for one day on a single street.
- the production company name must be clearly written on the voucher
- the location must be clearly written in the voucher. Film vouchers can only be used at the location specified
- the voucher must be clearly displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle. So that all the details are fully and clearly visible on the side nearest to the pavement
- once completed any changes to the voucher will make it invalid
- this voucher allows you to park in a resident, shared use, business, permit holder, pay and display and single yellow line only
- the voucher is for one calendar day only
- this voucher does not guarantee a parking space
- film vouchers are not valid on housing estates
- film vouchers are not valid in suspended bays, car clubs, private parking or where loading restrictions apply
- film vouchers are not valid on double yellow lines, unless prior permission is given by the film office
We don’t replace lost, damaged or stolen film vouchers.
No, once film vouchers are approved they are non-refundable.
- the Council considers fraud and attempted fraud to be an extremely serious matter and will not hesitate to take preventative, remedial or punitive actions against any person or organisation suspected of fraud or attempted fraud
- if we cancel your voucher because of fraud or misuse then you will not be eligible for a refund
- vouchers remain the property of the Council and we reserve the right to withdraw any voucher without giving prior notice or reason, and your vehicle may be issued with a penalty charge notice or removed
- it is an offence under the Vehicle (Excise) Act 1962 (Section 7) to park or keep a mechanically propelled vehicle on a public road if the vehicle is unlicensed
