The Speaker was invited to the Lag B’omer Parade on 23 May 2008 at Lubavitch House, Stamford Hill. It was a day celebrated with special festivity, marked by dancing and singing and the kindling of bonfires.
There was a colourful display from the Lubavitch school children with a recital of 12 Torah Pusukim by pupils, followed by their parading, with banners, along Stamford Hill. Music was played by Shir Chodosh Band. Dr Tali Loewenthal (pictured below) introduced the programme and The Speaker gave a special welcome to the children, parents and teachers, saying it was a privilege to see such creative costumes.
