Glyn Road and Rushmore Road Displacement Consultation Results
Parking Services are pleased to announce that the results of the displacement consultation in streets surrounding Controlled Parking Zone N (Homerton and Lower Clapton) have now been reviewed.
Between June and August 2008 residents in sections of Glyn Road, Rushmore Road, Elderfield Road and Chatsworth Road were consulted by Hackney Parking Services about the proposed introduction of parking controls. During the consultation we also asked for residents’ views on the proposed design of parking controls that would be installed if supported by residents.
If you live or work in the area you should by now have received a letter explaining the results. Alternatively you can download a copy of the letter from the link on the right side of this page or call 020 8356 8877 to be sent a copy.
We would like to thank all local residents and businesses who took part in the consultation and had their say.
Consultation Results
The consultation showed that the majority of residents who responded were in favour of the introduction of parking controls. As a result of majority public support, the Council will be proceeding with the introduction of parking controls in the consulted streets.
Please see the map on the right side of this page for the final controls that will soon be implemented.
For a full detailed report of the consultation results and the Council’s final recommendation please download a copy of the delegated report on the right side of this page.
Key Dates
The installation of lines and signs are expected to begin in December 2008. Please note that this date is subject to change.
Residents will be contacted closer to the time to explain when the installation of controls will begin and when you can start applying for your parking permit.
