Grass cutting
The Council cuts grass to ensure that areas are maintained to a high standard and to make sites feel welcoming and well maintained. Environmental issues are of paramount concern so some grass areas within our parks are left to grow so as to enhance biodiversity and encourage wild flora and wildlife to flourish.
What grass won't the Council cut?
We do not cut grass that is privately owned on properties/estates owned by bodies other than the Council.
What will the Council cut?
We will cut the grass on all Council owned land -
- highways
- verges
- public open space
- schools
- parks
- town centres
- memorial gardens
To report problems with grass in any of the above areas please contact us (see details on the top right of this page).
