Composting in schools
Composting at school is an excellent way to learn about nature and natural processes, and it helps reduce the amount of food and garden waste that your school produces.
It is also a great way to demonstrate recycling in action - pupils can see and use the end results of their hard work. Their finished compost enhances the quality of the soil in their school grounds and helps plants to grow better.
If you would like to begin composting at school you will be entitled to:
- a choice of subsidised composting units
- a free compost inset for your staff delivered by ecoActive Education.
