How Hackney Council is promoting green transport
Hackney Council is committed to promoting environmentally friendly transport in the borough, through better public transport, walking and cycling routes. We have been voted Best Bike Borough at the London Transport awards, and Best Cycling Facility by the London Cycling Campaign.
We run a successful car club scheme, where members have access to a number of vehicles across London as and when they need. We have also revised our parking permit rates according to the size of the vehicle's engine and the fuel it uses.
