Hackney: the place - Filming
Hackney is the place to be for filming right now. Film friendly, economical and diverse, there is not a better London borough to film in. Location wise this is well recognised in the industry with 228 film crews having passed through the film office so far this year (up to Sept 2008).
From photo shoots for national magazines and newspapers to BBC dramas, and high profile music videos, both the commercial and the independent choose Hackney. This makes the borough the 7th most filmed in London Borough, out of the 33 London boroughs.
