Hackney Wick Area Action Plan
The Hackney Wick Area Action Plan (AAP) plays a central role in bringing forward the regeneration of Hackney Wick. It provides a coherent strategy for guiding development and investment, and seeks to influence the direction of and maximise the benefits from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games and their legacy for the wider Wick neighbourhood, half of which sits within the Olympic Park itself.
The AAP forms a statutory component of the Local Development Framework (PDF).

Current Stage - Submission to the Secretary of State of the Hackney Wick Area Action Plan (Submission Document)
The Hackney Wick Phase 1 AAP was adopted by Council as interim guidance in September 2010 following extensive consultation with the community and stakeholders. The AAP now needs to go through the formal adoption process to become a Development Plan Document (DPD) in the Council's LDF. In November 2011, Cabinet approved the 'Publication' of the AAP (and supporting documents).
Public representations were invited within a 6 week period from 30 January until 12th March 2011 on the soundness and legal compliance of the AAP. The number of representations were received and a summary of the main issues raised is provided in the 'Statement of Representations' supporting document (see below).
The AAP and supporting documents were submitted to the Secretary of State as part of Regulation 30 on the 30th April 2011, following which the documents will be subject to an examination in public on their soundness and legal compliance by an independent inspector.
